Hank Dunning
Billing and Accounts Receivable Specialist
Hank is the Billing and Accounts Receivable Specialist at Van Dermyden Makus Law Corporation.
Hank works closely with all attorneys and professional staff members to monitor and manage the Firm's financial health. His responsibilities include processing payments, handling firm expenses, issuing monthly invoices, and assisting with contracts.
Hank studied at Sierra College and Cosumnes River College, where he majored in U.S. History. After college, he worked in the entertainment industry, managing a local record/music store, and later worked in Sales and Operations at a home video and game distributor, where he occasionally crossed paths with a movie star or two! In his current role at the Firm, Hank collaborates with the attorneys on invoicing requirements for client matters and handles the Firm’s day-to-day billing and A/R processes.
Before joining Van Dermyden Makus, Hank spent over 12 years working as a Senior Financial Operations Analyst at Magnit Global, where he developed strong expertise in financial reporting using multiple ERP systems, high-volume invoicing for multi-million-dollar revenue clients, month-end close and spend forecasting, vendor management, and process improvements. Over his career, he has led process enhancement initiatives, mentored and trained team members, and established strong relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, and clients.
A Northern California native, Hank enjoys hiking, camping, and being outdoors as much as possible in his free time. When he’s not exploring the outdoors, he enjoys listening to music, writing his own music, and collecting vinyl records.
