Brian Sciacca
Attorney Investigator
Brian is an Attorney Investigator with Van Dermyden Makus Law Corporation. His practice focuses on campus and workplace investigations.
Before joining Van Dermyden Makus Law Corporation, Brian was a sole practitioner specializing in the representation of students with disabilities in special education and civil rights litigation. Prior to opening his own practice, Brian worked for one of the largest education law firms in California, where he advised local educational agencies in special education and student discipline matters. He was a frequent presenter to school staff and administrators on issues related to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and the Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.
Brian graduated from the Gould School of Law at the University of Southern California. During his time at USC, he served as a law clerk in the Office of General Counsel for the Los Angeles Unified School District, the second largest school district in the nation. Prior to law school, he earned his undergraduate degree from California State University at Dominguez Hills, while also coaching youth and high school water polo and serving as an instructional assistant for students with disabilities in high school.
