VM Recommends - San Diego Edition

This month’s VM Recommends brings us selections from Attorney Investigator, Katie Lough.

What is your favorite place to visit in San Diego?

When people think of San Diego, the beach usually comes to mind—but there’s a lot more to explore beyond the coastline. One of my favorite off-the-beaten-path adventures is the Seven Bridges Hike. It’s a 5.5-mile urban loop that winds through several San Diego neighborhoods, including Downtown, Balboa Park, Hillcrest, North Park, and Bankers Hill.

The route takes you to seven unique historical bridges. Each of them has its own charm, from a swaying suspension bridge over a canyon to the iconic Cabrillo Bridge near Balboa Park. It’s part urban scavenger hunt and part scenic stroll—a fun way to discover a side of San Diego that many visitors miss out on.

I did the hike a few years ago with my husband and our Husky pup. We had a blast!
